Radiation Shielding
The material placed in front of or surrounding it to weaken the intensity of radiation is called armor. Putting a barrier between the radiation source and the person is called shielding. Armoring helps to minimize the dose taken. Our services in the field of radiation protection from HHC MEDİKAL ENGINEERING.

RADIATION ARMORING
Radiation rays are used in areas such as agriculture, nuclear facilities, energy and medical centers in the world. In order to be protected from the harmful effects of radiation rays, there must be protective barriers between the radiation source and the person. Protection methods should be carried out by observing the rules of time, distance and armor.
Shielding is a protective barrier that enters between the person and the radiation source in order to reduce the radiation dose to an acceptable level. Among the equipment used in lead shielding and X-ray room lead coating processes, devices such as lead aprons, lead screens, lead glass and lead doors are designed.
WHAT IS RADIATION ARMOURING
Ionizing radiation, which is used in the field of health and industry, carries great risks for human health. These rays increase the risk of cancer by causing microscopic damage to living tissues. A barrier is created between people and radiation by using the lead shielding method for radiation protection. These operations, which are carried out with careful and correct applications, should be carried out by expert teams.
Working with a focus on maximum trust, HHC Medical Lead Armoring has accomplished many successful projects in Turkey and around the world with its important projects in the fields of nuclear, medical and industry.
X-Ray Room Lead Coating
Lead shielding is a method developed to protect human health with lead doors and windows designed by measuring all dimensions of radiology rooms and using quality filling materials. After the lead shielding process is performed, radiation level measurements should be made and it should be checked that there is no leakage.
The points to be considered for the X-ray room lead coating processes are as follows:
The thickness and features determined by the TAEK licensing branch must be applied.
The purity of lead plates should not be less than 99.2%. Recycled scraps should not be used to achieve purity; Plates made from raw materials as the first casting, passed quality controls and specially produced for radiology should be preferred.
Lead plates should be checked at every stage, applications should be made with screws with lead plugs.
Since lead is a poisonous metal, it should be packaged very well at all stages from production to assembly, and special clothes such as masks and gloves should be worn during use.
X-ray room wall thickness should be at least 29 cm of solid brick or 15 cm of concrete. Otherwise, lead plates should be used to provide this thickness.
X-ray room door should be single and this door should be covered with 2.0 mm thick lead plate.
Whether the x-ray room meets the necessary conditions in terms of safety should be determined during the radiation control and inspection to be made on site.
X-Ray Room Lead Coating Properties
Lead coating in the X-ray room is a very important process used for both people working in that area and patients, and is extremely important in terms of protecting human health. The parts of the x-ray rooms consisting of walls, doors and glass and materials such as aprons that people can wear are designed with the lead shielding method and given a protective structure. It is necessary to work with expert and professional companies in the field for these processes, which require careful attention and meticulous work.
HHC Medical Lead Armoring is a 100% domestic production company that uses a chemical substance developed by R&D engineers and does not use materials such as screws, calibrates it with the help of cold water compressed air system, works with methods developed by itself, and makes 100% domestic production.
Providing service to 42 different countries including Turkey, HHC Medikal plans to carry out the best quality lead shielding processes with current production strategies by using the latest technologies. HHC Medical Lead Armoring, which has proven itself in the field of lead shielding; By branding in the global market, it patents its own products and carries out new projects together with R&D engineers in order to become one of the world's expert and leading companies.
